Lecture series “Urban Resilience”

The lectures were dedicated to the theoretical basis, concept and general discourse of the ideas of sustainable urban development. In the first part "Theoretical foundations", students got acquainted with the basic theoretical concepts of urban resilience. The second section "Global Challenges" aimed to reveal what geopolitical, economic, environmental, social, and technological risks are and what their impact is on the development of modern cities. In the third part "Practical steps", case studies were discussed in detail, e.g. "Strategy for Climate Adaptation and Mitigation in Karlsruhe," Housing Policy and Social Housing + IBA in Vienna, "Reconstruction and Revitalization in Lviv".
